Our Black Teal Bay Botanticals and Bookshop Story
The historic mining town of Arrowtown is located near Queenstown New Zealand. Gold was discovered in the Arrow River in 1862 and not long after, Arrowtown became a thriving settlement.
Our Black Teal Bay shop is located at 30 Buckingham Street, Arrowtown’s main street in one of Arrowtown’s original wooden buildings built in 1884 (with a historic listing). Over its long history the building has been home to various shops, a barber, a café, a lending library, a sample room and a bank.
