JASMINE
Today I am a grower and craftsperson. My desire to be inspired by nature is central to our move from city life in Singapore to our rural lifestyle in New Zealand. Since our move, I have crafted a new life surrounded by the things I love - nature, plants, clay and above all my loved ones.
Learning to grow my own botancals and flower garden has helped me understand the healing nature of plants and their applications in natural wellness. My background in yoga practice and teaching have also enriched my interest in holistic healing and believe that beauty comes from our inner vitality and health.
My focus is to ensure we make create and produce quality products that truly contain the therapeutic compounds, synergy and the vitality of our plants.
MARK
I am a New Zealander who has spent a lot of time somewhere else, including 27 years living in Singapore. So, having lived so much of my life outside New Zealand it has been an adjustment to come home. Black Teal Bay has given me the chance to slow down, reconnect with nature and take a step back to gain a fresh perspective and outlook on life. I am progressively changing my mindset from doing to being.
I am primarily focused on developing and managing our land as well as supporting the growth of Black Teal Bay concept and brand including our new retail outlet in 2024.
I am an active relaxer and reading real books (including the book reviews on our blog) and I credit books for getting me through a lot of life. Books are also a key component of our Black Teal Bay vision.
DAISY
Daisy was our loved friendly and joyful Border Collie who was a daily inspiration of positive joy to us for many years and has been such a big part Black Teal Bay. Loved by everyone who met her she is fondly remembered and sadly missed.
